peer mentor

As a Peer Mentor for Lesley’s College of Art + Design, I provide a chat room and 1:1 guidance to students on all topics and concerns related
to being a design student as well as assist advisors teaching the first-year experience course. But, additionally, I also design publicity material
with my fellow peer mentors for the Academic Advising Office’s social
media platforms and community emails to promote the program. Other initiatives outside the digital sphere involve crafting selection schedules for incoming freshman students to choose from and enroll in, along
with designing more than twenty faculty profiles for the faculty mentoring program. These profiles are given to students, enabling
them to get to know their faculty advisors better.

This opportunity has not only fostered my leadership potential and my professional communication and presentation skills but has allowed
me to showcase my work in a more real-world setting.
